Talk about misery guts. Small dying town five hours outside of Sydney, people leaving as a huge coal mine is taking over, buying all the land while polluting everything. Added to this Ro is back visiting her ex as it's the fifth anniversary of their son going missing without a trace on his 21st birthday. Beautifully written as always, the characters and landscape described well. Not sure I can finish. Library ebook.

You're very welcome, John. I found myself feeling a little restless at times, but once the "reveal" started revealing itself, I wished it would slow down so I could keep appreciating the quiet mystery and beautiful portrayal of townsfolk and land
