I am 1/3 of the way through the book and am just plain bored. This has been well received by many of my Goodreads friends who enjoy the same type of books as I do. I may try another book in the series but am calling it quits on this one.

I had this as a potential read on my list too... thank you for your impressions. A lot of similar series are being published right now, it's hard to see which ones are really good and which are just recycling the historical mystery trend. Good luck with your next read! :)
I'm sorry you didn't like it. The blurb sounds really good and the cover is very nice (though spooky) too!

I noticed that must be a thing right now. Several series I am reading are doing that.
