Intriguing story ideas. Some great visuals. Believable characters. Some great visuals. I can see that this would make an exciting movie.
BUT
The text is over-stuffed with adjectives, there's an annoying amount of repetition of phrases and information and the pacing feels off. The writing feels heavy and slow.
I don't want to set the book aside but I'd like it to go faster and for the storytelling to be tighter.
