I just get mad when I look at how long I’ve been reading and need to put the book down and I don’t want to. Philippa Gregory is a master historical fiction author. Fight me.

I hate being a student of history something. The main character in these historical fiction books has no idea what is about the happen. But I read that Lord Cromwell needs to leave because he’s meeting Mark Smeaton. Mark who is completely innocent off everything and who is about to be tortured and lose and eye and wrongly confess and then die. Welcome to Henry VIII court.

It’s so fascinating to read about a story from someone who isn’t a main character.
