okay so the biggest downside to this so far is that… when you write a fanfiction, you work with a preconceived idea of the world and its functions, it’s laws and magics. When you then turn that fanfiction into its own standalone work, you have to explain the rules of this world.

i am SO confused
also this is very pro-monarchy, like, i’m not saying that the Holdfast’s were bad leaders, but just that The Sun God choosing one man’s entire lineage for undisputed rule for centuries to come IS an odd way to choose rulers
particularly when it appears people couldn’t choose their alchemic affinity and they said necro and vivimancers were illegal yanno
