Started another John Saul, one of my favorite unsung horror authors, this one from 2002. Already creepy. It involves a murder in the Prologue, typical of Saul, and a young widow and her two young children, who I am sure get put into all kinds of danger soon, another reliable Saul trope. He gets right to the point and doesn't mess around. I plan to have this done in a week.
