God the panel of Denji crying while hitting Aki with the snowball (killing him) I’m weeping. And Aki’s dead brother coming out to play followed by the panel of Denji killing Aki is perfect symbolism

Oh my gid the people giving Denji their blood so he can save them I’m gonna cry

The side by side of child Denji on the ground during the snowball fight and Denji disemboweled as Chainsawman

The fact gut going back and forth with the snowball fight is devastating. Especially since that’s what him and his brother were playing when his whole family was killed by the devil now controlling his body

This story is so sick and twisted Aki’s whole storyline revolved around killing the gun devil who killed his family, and he was willing to give all of it up to protect Denji and Power his new family. But then he becomes the the Gun fiend and goes after the two people he wanted to protect most

Makima telling Denji the gun devil took over a dead body and not saying who’s dead body feels very intentional, also not seeing the gun devil battle and skipping straight to the results gives an interesting shocking impression

Denji’s door shown again when it looks like he’s trying to go outside where this big battle is

Makima’s solders comes from above through a flesh like circle, more birth symbolism. I think the control devil being portrayed as a toxic maternal figure is perfect

I notice that Makima’s chains of control come from her womb and her halo resembles an umbilical cord. My favorite theory is that the chainsaw devil ids actually the birth devil. Since chainsaws were originally made for c-sections and since the devils here the chainsaw before they are reincarnated to earth. Makima’s obsession with chainsaw and her toxic maternal imagery and weight to the theory
