A few pages into Chapter Four, "Commitment: Let Love Be Love in Me."

The late and great bell hooks (nee Gloria Jean Watkins) was a truly insightful writer. This book is one I can read over and over again. I look forward to buying and reading her other works.

Near the end of Chapter Three, "Honesty: Be True to Love."

These essays are so well-written, and so very insightful. I especially love how the late and great bell hooks references other resources in each of the essays. I look forward to reading all the works she referenced. Of course, that means I shall have at least seven to-be-read towers, instead of three, but I digress.

This book is such a quietly powerful book, and it has opened my eyes and broadened my perspectives on love--truly, all kinds of love--in the short time I have been reading it.

I find this book fascinating on so many levels. Indeed, bell hooks has so many amazing insights into love and love in all kinds of relationships, not just romantic ones.

I already love Ms. hooks' writing, and quite fascinated about what she has written in this book about the subject of love.

This is the first time I have read a book written by bell hooks, and I already know it shall not be my last. The writing style of bell hooks is flowing, emotionally deep, lyrical and quite profound. This brilliant writer definitely has a new fan in me.
