so far this lacks the emotional depth i’ve really appreciated in the other memoirs i’ve read recently, even those that aren’t perfectly written. it’s like, weirdly logistics heavy? and maybe it’s supposed to be about the logistics of coming back from something like this? but i thought and hoped it would be more emotionally immersive.
