Pride, it is among the most foolish of human emotions. It, more often than not, leads to tragedy if not, at the very least, folly. Pride is security in one's own skill to one's own detriment. Be that detriment the degradation of skill or overestimating in the face of adversity. Pride can also bring about ensuring hardship when one is too proud to seek out help or even accept it freely offered.

The nature of religion. More often than not religion is an inherited trait. I imagine that hero geopolitics also plays a significant role though it has gotten much less significant proportional to connectivity and technology. Would the world be a better place if people found religion based on the principles in their heart more so than what they're told when they're young?
