I can’t stand the mundane yet flirtatious conversations between the characters. The author keeps teasing whatever terrible thing happened on that planet in a way that doesn’t evoke excitement. There better be a twist or some type of redemption as the first 200 pages have been mostly a struggle to grapple with.

Definitely not as religion-heavy as I thought it would be, permeated by flirtatious sense of humour between some of the characters with a hint of sexual tension. Still waiting for the sci-fi/philosophical aspects to kick in.
