I keep waiting for this so-called “vilainisation” of Boukareev and there’s nothing but Krakouer telling the plain truth about his actions. Sounds like a case of damaged ego to me. (And wouldn’t you know it? Seems like Boukareev’s ego played a huge part in his actions on Everest as well.)

Anatoli what the heck do you mean that you are directly responsible for the lives of at least 7 people but have made the choice while CLIMBING MOUNT EVEREST to 1) not use oxygen, and 2) not wait for them to make the summit? The heck are they paying you for??
