El-Kurd’s question about whether or not victims are entitled to their hatred is making me think of 9/11 and the Islamophobia that it gave rise to. I know his response would be that the root issue existed long before the event, but nonetheless, the offense gave rise to a hatred that was largely unjustified imo.

I largely disagree with his sentiment that an ideological project should be defined by how it materially manifest. At least partly.

I had no idea Shireen’s Abu Akleh’s funeral was the largest in Palestinian history. 🥺

When resistance is seen as propane and disgraceful, where can we go from there?

I just rewatched the reports of Shireen Abu Akleh’s death earlier this week. Like El-Kurd it blows my mind that the assassination of an American journalist by the IDF was so largely ignored. The video will probably will probably never leave me, like the images of Dr. Abu Safieh and the car Hind Rajab and her family were found in. :(
