I’m having a hard time believing that the parents don’t know the most basic details of the case. They don’t know the names of the other coeds that went missing? They didn’t even know that Tammy was Jessica’s RA or even Tammy’s name? The police would’ve immediately made that connection, I know they thought Tammy ran away but that connection would’ve still been there

There’s a lot of telling instead of showing. I should’ve written down exact quotes. I know there’s one that’s something like “I fiddled with my ring. I do that when I’m nervous” that second part isn’t needed. A lot of people fiddle with their jewelry when nervous, show it. There’s something Ryan said that made me roll my eyes, can’t find the exact quote

The author repeats how the lake got its nickname of Doll eyed Lake twice. She explains it first on page 8 and then again on page 106. Did she think the audience forgot?
