love going into a book with no idea what i'm in for because i've seen this cover for YEARS and knew it was probably something i'd appreciate but HERE WE ARE. APPRECIATING. and i already want to do something drastic. beautiful writing, beautiful translation.

listen, i'll be so honest, i don't care if this is short, i want to read a french translation and i just don't have the time to read hunchback of notre dame AND war and peace....but once i finish this i am DONE WITH MY TRANSLATION CHALLENGE! kinda crazy i haven't read a french translation all year
