I’ve kind of fallen in love with some of the characters now. Certain people’s charms are truly shining, if you read it you’ll know exactly who I’m talking about. The humour is now hitting too as the characters have been expanded upon, playing into their personalities well.

A compelling villain has been revealed. I’m interested to see how it all pans out already, and who comes out on top. The plot is laid out, complications are being foretold, and the past is expressing itself in the present. Old warriors are going to have long pasts to draw from, and that is being used well. My worry is the predictability… time will tell.

A tame start, introducing characters with good pacing. The book lets me adjust to each new face before bringing in someone new. Each new character is more interesting than the last, which is a relief and a pay off to the first hour which dragged a touch. The campaign is now flowing, long live Moog!!
