For the love of God, Danielewski can ramble on for pages about something that could take a 4 line paragraph. Still enjoying, but damn this book could probably be 1/6 as long and still have the same effect.

Jon, let me get into it another couple hundred pages and I'll let you know. This is my first true experience trying him.

Ha-ha. Yes. I read a sterling review of this book and decided I should read it. Then I looked at the page count. Santa Maria! Like a 19th-century Russian novel! You'll let me know if all those pages are not only necessary but worth it, I'm sure.
They'll probably not be necessary, but hey, I'm sure there's a process!
