def skip any and all sex scenes

if i praise the action scenes
i need to do the opposite for everything else

more than a few times lack of editing and just shit writing was evident and abound

i hope the rest of the series are better ..
but i doubt it

this ending was also meh
i skipped over it entirely

i think i rated this three stars initially
and i’ll keep that bc of the good i mentioned

another good scene i forgot until now was the fmc and the boy, again
this time abducted and then escaping

i prob need to make a note of this if i ever reread this book
to skip everything but this handful of scenes

the story telling to the crowd afterwards could’ve been better
i wouldnt have minded a recap of her heroics

it was written okay but repetitive in a boring way

so another scene i forgot about

was the market attack scene with the fmc and the boy
that was great

the sex and plot and everything else is boring as fuck though

i’m now slightly more curious about the other human women though

at times this fmc is a great heroine
but then the author writes her to be this whimpering yet mean girl bitch?? whatever

Just now I went and read the blurbs for the entire series, starting from the last one to the second book.

.. and yikes.

Firstly, the shitty blurbs. My gods. I’m unable to have any faith for the actual books when just the blurbs alone are horrendously lacking in proper grammar.

Secondly, none of them seem interesting. At all.

Ugh

One last thing before I forget

I don’t feel the urge or any annoyance to delete this from my library. I may reread in the future.

Not bad - (good, but not great)

And certainly leagues better than the shit books I’ve read lately.

This did have lots of potential, which I’m hoping it lives up to..?

All the stuff I ranted about nearly ruined it though.

The sweeter moments, the action sequences, the world building, the actual romance… they seemed few and far in between.

For a book with over six hundred pages, honestly it felt like AT LEAST 65% of the contents was filler.
Boring info and details.

I’m somehow eager and also dreading the rest of this series.

After rereading some of the reviews, mainly the “lower rated” ones, I found myself agreeing with them.

Most of them pointed out shit I didn’t like about the book either, I just put them out of my mind when I Was reading.

I kind of mentioned it. The action had me hooked, even post scene where the characters are retelling the story or showing actual footage of her badass bitchness.

So many annoying errors and editing mistakes-or lack thereof. Ugh

The one pro is how good the “action” scenes are.
When the fmc is being a badass I mean.
But even then, I feel like it wasn’t enough.

Especially towards the end. I really struggle to finish reading bc it was so tediously boring.

Still flat three stars worth.
I hope the rest of the series is better
