Two things: 1. FINALLY!! Some progress on these two. 2nd: HOW is Briony so FRUSTRATINGLY dense on some things and very smart on others

When am I meant to like this guy? Can I get a single crack in the armor to tell me he’s likable?

I do enjoy the tension of “guy is doing something he doesn’t wanna do in order to appear evil and bad” but I wish Briony would like…catch up with the reader and be like “oh clearly there’s more going on here but why is it happening hmmmm i could learn more and maybe escape” instead of looking at everything in slightly the wrong way

I’m not sure if I’m into the whole…MMC is kind of a bully thing I’m hoping this’ll be like a Rhysand situation where I get some sort of justification for his behavior later

I need someone to genuinely give me a character guide about who these people are because I am forgetting who they are so quickly and the little character tree at the start isn’t super helping lmao
