😭😭😭 three tries with his “second family”. Such a young boy and so much trauma and fear. I kept forgetting this was real. Yes long and slow at pints but it was real his life through his little nine year old eyes. I just can’t fathom my children going through that or even myself as an adult. Perspective for sure.

Aggghh so nervous. He’s going to cross la linea and go to Tucson. Poor baby. I can’t imagine how scary it must be to walk into a new hostile land.

So far he’s travelled from El Salvador to Guatemala and now to Mexico. Sad and hard story. Love the poetic prose but all so much detail makes the story drag on.
