The author says to stop communicating any way that is not IRL or over the phone. He doesn't address well enough for me what to do if you hate talking on the phone or if lots of socialization exhausts you both of which have applied to me since way before I got online.

Like... I'm aware that a lot of internet-ing is manipulative still actually reading that it is makes me mad/sad. I also think of the moment Ron Swanson threw his computer in the dumpster in Parks & Rec.
