I fear I’ve unlocked a mountaineering disaster hyper-fixation demon within me… I will be soliciting recommendations for documentaries about climbing disasters!

I’m baffled at the moral implications of conquering this mountain (a completely optional endeavor…) at great expense… mostly to a highly exploited community of locals (but what else is new?!)

Also this is captivatingly written.
