One phrase said a lot in this book is "trash" it is given a negative connotation, rather than using the word "waste" most of the time because this book is about saving the planet. Another word used in a more positive connotation was delectable which could have been delicious instead. The last word I found was fixation, which has a sort of negative connotation because it is almost like saying addiction.

The goal of the main character is to prevent personal impact on the environment by cutting things out that harm it, such as over-consumption.

I think Colin Beavan might not be qualified to write this book because usually boys do not have the same problems girls do in the sense of being addicted to things like fun drinks and shopping. However, he might be qualified if the sense that he is using it to relate to saving the planet.
