I have enjoyed this section of the story quite a bit but have definitely decided I do not like King as a writer lol. Its going a little off the rails too like why tf would he kill off Nick if that is such a waste then the spies going west plot has been for no fucking reason it’s getting a little annoying and all of that just for the guys to go west to fight after all like 4 of them will be able to take Flagg out

Ok so the man in black has finally been introduced and is haunting everyone’s dreams like Freddy Krueger and the old lady playing the guitar is doing the same thing except good. I like that characters are starting to meet each other on their travels. Feels like walking dead season 4

I think King’s prose just isn’t really for me, neither is this genre frankly, but the book is not without charm. Nick is definitely my favorite and I like his perspective most, then Stew. Stew meeting the stranger with the dog just recently has been the best development in a while, he is a very interesting character. Larry is such a bum, didn’t care for the trash can plot, and Franny is pretty good usually
