If I had to guess when this book takes place, I would guess it was between The Search and Smoke&Shadow. That’s because at the end of the former she quite literally disappeared, and in the latter she suddenly appeared with a group of people we had never seen before. So I’m betting this book will explore that gap, and maybe we’ll witness Azula having some inner-self-reflection.
