I’m returning this book without finishing it. I thought it was about the Bow Street Runners. While the protagonist is a Bow Street Runner, he turns out to be brooding, sexy guy. I couldn’t take the excessive, repetitive descriptions. This book reminded me why I dislike typical romance novels.

I’m not going to finish this book. I was interested in the Bow Street Runners. While the protagonist of this story is a Bow Street Runner, he is also the best, brooding, sexiest trope. The excessive descriptions of him and the perfectly gorgeous woman he rescues are redundant. After wading through the entire Powerless trilogy, I’m not willing to spend my time on another typical romance novel.
