This took me a while to get through. I savored large parts of it, and got bored with a few parts, but on the whole, I loved it and am glad I read it. The chapters on Shadow and Depth probably struck me with the most wow moments.

I'm listening to the audiobook of this. I bought it several years ago when I had an Audible credit to use or lose, and I chose it because I loved the author's first book, Spell of the Sensuous. It's ready by the author, and I can see how some people might not like him or his voice, but it's super interesting and engaging and has all sorts of interesting thoughts and perspectives about how we interact with nature.
