By faith, you will get through this. Think about it: if you had everything figured out, you wouldn’t need faith. You could simply live by your understanding. By your logic, but not by faith. But when you don’t understand something, that gives you the unique opportunity to deepen your faith.

Peaks are nice, but you don’t see many farms on mountaintops. Why? Because things grow better in valleys. Your time in the valley may not be pleasant, but it is in the valleys of life that you grow closer to God and stronger in your faith.

Sometimes the way back to God isn’t a smooth road; it’s a road paved with bumps and land mines. But God offers us his Spirit to guide us, lead us, direct us through the maze of doubts and back to the safety of his presence, nature, and goodness.

The more I’ve lived life and the more I’ve sought to know and understand God, the more I’m certain that doubts are essential to our maturity as believers.
