I think a lot of it though is because I’m reading it for a class (our mutual Kay took the same one last semester) and the other books I’ve had to read recently have been so boring that this is amazing in comparison

I've been pretty into mysteries this year and I was so looking forward to it after Kay rated it high. I was excited for the butch/femme dynamic but even though that couple was well written they couldn't save me from the boring MC :(
