Karras still doubts Regan is possessed. Even with some of the unexplainable things like the drawer flying open, her knowing his mother passes and surely the physical evidence.

Really appreciate the writing style of having his (Karras) internal thoughts, past scenes/conversations and him teaching his class all in one. Easier to read than just one long paragraph about one scene.

What a crazy ending. There’s so much about all the characters I need to talk about for the final review!

Finally, Karras asked to perform an exorcism! I liked how we finally got to this point. Karras’ weakness is believing he’s strong enough to take on an exoticism.

“Yeah, hello and good-bye.” Karras growled. “Who are you and what the fuck are you doing in my room?” Should have known it was a dream cause why is he swearing. I loved it though, really shows his character.

“I just thought you were-“
“Human?”
Get called out Chris. No, I only jest I understand you’ve had four months of absolute torture.

Loved the Chris and Karras conversation, he’s not convinced Regan is possessed…yet.

If I wasn’t so tired I’d keep reading because this is getting really good but I’m about to pass out as if I was given 400mg of Librium.

I like the sequence of Chris around her house looking for books that Regan may have been influenced by while also recounting the first conversation about possible possession.

That ending scene with Regan scaring the shit out of her mother was terrifying. Hmm I was lead to believe detective Kinderman was just a wabbling fanboy but when he’s working, he can solve some cases.

I love the way Damien Karras talks, he makes me forget he’s a Jesuit and not just a random guy.

That detective needs to get the point, everytime he talks it’s a long segment of something completely random. It’s adorable though, his conversation with a troubled Chris and a nonchalant Damien. You can grasp a lot from them interacting.

I love how often the window in Regans room is mentioned, especially since Burkes death and how it’s heavily implied he went out that very window.

Didn’t read any chapters on Karras tonight but I’m sure him and Chris are going to cross paths soon. Regans usual activities can’t be justified in the medical field long enough.

I can appreciate how realistic these doctors appointments are. It’s such an easy read when they’re not much text after what the character says. Style choice or saving space??

Damien Karras chapters are setting up so much for later, someone needs to check up on him before he jumps in front of a train.

William has a perfect way of telling us the story, with all the relevant information, whole still keeping me hooked.

Even though I’ve seen the movie, reading this puts me in a different perspective and world. Feels different to what I remember in the film.

Sometimes when one small paragraph has two people talking in it, I get confused but that doesn’t last long.

I’m incredibly impressed by Williams style in writing. First chapter in and although it’s long and spans over about three days, it’s paced well and gives the reader a perfect view of how this book is.

First horror book I’ve picked up and hope to finish. Love the genre in films and I can say, it does transfer to paper when you kinda know what’s going to happen.
