I'm sorry but the lines "I'm no good with a sword" "But /I/ am." Hold no girl-boss weight to it when the girl saying it keeps showing how inept she is in an actual fight... right before being completely inept yet again.
I'm so tired of this stabby independent woman romantasy FLs that need to be saved all the time by the dude. Either give me an actually well written stabby independent FL or make her a beautiful klutz

She kicked a door down while drunk... that he couldn't while fully scared and enraged.... yet she struggled in fights and to protect him-- yeah okay, I can only suspend my disbelief so much 😅

This is... written really juvenile. Theres also a lot of parts that are basically repeated 10 pages later, or events that are completely forgotten. How do you get your hand slashed open and no one mentions it or mentions bandaging it for the rest of the encounter, and then forget it entirely? Why is a big betrayal only taking place in the amount of text that can fit 3 pages? Ugh

I like the concept and wanted an easy-read given the rainy weather we've been having, but this may be too easy of a read... we will see!
