Way more brutal and nasty than Hunger Games

Darrow needs to watch some Game of Thrones

Doing a reread for book club with the homies, this time with the audiobook. The choice to make Darrow sound Irish instead of Italian or Greek is gonna take some getting used to

Darrow is 16 and Like That because 35 is elderly here 💀

Suspending my disbelief that Darrow is 16 and his wife Eo is 14 because he talks like a grizzled old war vet and she talks to him like an adult woman would.

There’s a lot of jargon here that’s a little confusing but I think I’ll get it. I made it through dune I can handle this.

I’ve been putting this one off because sci-fi usually isn’t my thing but I’m willing to give it a try!! I’ve heard lots of great things.
