So much of this book is the protagonist asking stupid internal questions, not even naive or sheltered questions. She is the shittiest journalist.

I may possibly be hate reading this at this point. I'm not really sold on the parasocial nature of her inquiries. Neither do I really believe that she was at any point a decent reporter / detective.

information, but I'm not. People love spilling other people's secrets and most of all they love feeling included and important.*

Why are you talking to the cops? Why does it seem like you're centering yourself as important to this case when you should have absolutely nothing to say -- you're not friends with this person, and have not been for 15 years.

I didn't mind Lizzie before too much, but now I think I'm starting to hate her.
