I’m still underwhelmed. It doesn’t help that I keep falling asleep while listening to the audiobook and having to backtrack but feeling like I’m still missing parts. The constant POV rotation maybe is contributing to the feeling of being unable to be immersed in the story. I soldier on.😆

I had such a hard time getting into this because I listened to it in small amounts at a time. I had to backtrack repeatedly because of falling asleep at night. I finally did get into it though and I am really enjoying it and terrified to know it’s almost over. I know it ends on a cliffhanger so I’m worried how bad it’s going to be. Thank the goddess for Onyx! Loving the name switch up. Fitting.❤️🔥

Idk, so far I’m underwhelmed by this. I also don’t love how we went from Fae intrigue to a vampire-centric story. Not my fave. Carrion is a delight for sure and it looks like he’s going to play a bigger role in the next part of the book. He and Kingfisher are so amusing pitted against each other.
