Ok, I love how immersive this book is! I will say the description of her surroundings is a bit lacking. I’m very confused on how the graveyard looks but that could just be me being dumb. This also might be stupid but low key, demons, gouls, and fire spirits? A great Halloween book?? I think so😌 oh! And shockingly I like the love interest so far🫶

Lowkey, Dara is a cry baby. Like sorry your family died but that doesn’t mean you get to be racist now??? “You didn’t grow up In my world, you don’t understand” is such a move horrible people pull when they know they are wrong. And him leaving her in the desert after saying all that horrible stuff to and about her?? I don’t feel bad for him.

Ugh. I hate that we skipped time again, I feel like I know nothing of Nahri and Dara’s relationship, it’s been growing off page. And I wanted to see her steal the horses and see them work together maybe. It feels like we are learning all about the world from Ali’s perspective and his chapters seem longer.
