Ghosts and monsters?

Brilliant how the way the main character describes the events changes throughout the book. It seems like she may be going through phases of grief? She first was in denial and shock, hoping it will go away on its own, now she is at fighting, analysing, looking for solutions, loopholes. Super interesting to observe the change!
