I didn't expect this book to go as it has so far (first 30 pages). I am currently feeling sad and hopeless.
Entering the midnight library the descriptions feel clinical/flat... I feel like they are meant to sound poetic but fail.
" the floor was lights down somewhere between light yellow and camel brown like the color of an old page".
Or " eyes came alive, twinkling like puddles in moonlight"
