I don’t understand why this book isn’t more popular. It’s so relatable. So many versions of black female trauma - every page I’m circling phrases and incidents that have happened to me or that I can totally relate to. The characters are flawed and lack self esteem usually enhanced by their white superiors. So sad but true.
