He crouched in front of her, and she had never seen his face this vicious. There was a raw malice in his eyes. I just finished chapter 18. I read Manacled, and I knew what was coming but holy shit it hurts. Helena has a deep level of trust in Kaine. "Ferron always comes for me". I am actually finding this book a lot more emotional 😭
