Why didn’t the mom check if there were gluten-free options when she made the reservation? Or at check-in? Don’t expect a wide breakfast selection from a place that only has four rooms.
And the kid should know pop-tarts aren’t an option for him.

Then why does it take him a full page of narrative before he discloses the name of the victim? Would it help his investigation if people knew who he was talking about?
