oh boy, I remember why I DNF'ed this 😅 long winded world building in between dialogue. also too many metaphors; everything she sees and feels reminds her of something "like a bird swooping down, like a...,"

still giving this a shot! the beginning of a book is sometimes a slug for me to get through, but sometimes the main part of the story draws me back in <3 super curious to see how this story goes!
