I don’t necessarily need to relate to authors who write memoirs or even characters in books that I read. In fact, the reason why I read is to experience a life outside of my own. But there’s something really beautiful about seeing similar thoughts and traits in people that resemble your own, especially when it comes to grieving someone.

This might be one of my favorite memoirs I’ve ever read.

And if I said every memoir I’ve read has been a 5-star type of experience for me …
