I love Warren's discussion in chapter four regarding beauty as one of the faith-restoring counterbalances in the midst of grief. I've often found it to be true, which is probably why I go to my local art museum at least once a week.

At its heart, theodicy is the longing for a God who notices our suffering, who cares enough to act, and who will make all things new.
