I'm going to sound like the biggest bitch ever but here it goes: I think this book has a great premise and exceptional vibe, but I sort of wish it was in the hands of a more skilled writer. Rebecca Ross is... fine? But my library hold for The Everlasting just came in and I can't stop thinking about what an Alix E. Harrow, or a V.E. Schwab, or a Laini Taylor would do for a book like this.
