Okay ... I really want to know how the redemption arc for THAT ASSHOLE is supposed to work. This might be the first mafia romance where I actually question how this should ever turn into a romance. That man is awful. He degrades her, he drugs her, he rapes her. He hits her. There shouldn't be a romance plot happening wth.
