Interlude before ch 42: my gosh that is horrific! This girl clearly is clearly traumatized and has no concept of a true father…making her kill her old lover?? Like I know he basically SA’d her in the vampire way, but 😳😳 making HER kill HIM? And she was semi-grateful for it even as she was still sad and terrified and sick over all of it? What the heck

Rain first draws blood from araya: I kinda figured the blood sucking would turn into something sexual even tho it wasn’t really addressed before, but it felt kinda weird and “back-tracky” to be like “it wasn’t sexual with the minister but normally it is” even tho it hadn’t been described that way ever before.
