Rain first draws blood from araya: I kinda figured the blood sucking would turn into something sexual even tho it wasn’t really addressed before, but it felt kinda weird and “back-tracky” to be like “it wasn’t sexual with the minister but normally it is” even tho it hadn’t been described that way ever before.

Interlude before ch 42: my gosh that is horrific! This girl clearly is clearly traumatized and has no concept of a true father…making her kill her old lover?? Like I know he basically SA’d her in the vampire way, but 😳😳 making HER kill HIM? And she was semi-grateful for it even as she was still sad and terrified and sick over all of it? What the heck

3rd interlude: Vincent doesn’t want to turn araya because 2 out of 3 times it goes bad. How are those odds worse than araya surviving this tournament thing?? Seems like Vicente wants to put it on araya rather than take matters into his own hands
