First time in the whole book we've actually seen them play hockey and they're on the ice for all of half a page

Summer proclaims loudly to hate athletes specially hockey players and YET every single guy on the hockey teams claims to be friends with and flirts with her despite her barely even talking them in-book. It's shameless self-insert that I am SO here for, unironically. Make all the guys obsessed with me for no reason at all😍

"Just talk to me, Summer. That's what we do - we communicate" NAME ONE TIME YOU TWO HAVE HAD AN HONEST CONVERSATION ABOUT ANYTHING. About your supposed feelings for each other, about your baggage, about the weather like name one (1) singular time.

It's too soon for him to like her!!!!! They have barely done anything together!!!! Thinking with his junk is one thing but it seems like he's into her???! "I haven't talked to you all day". Boy what are you going on about?!

The "psychology" part of this is so vague it's a little frustrating to me. I obviously don't know anything about research studies but I have a feeling maybe the author doesn't either?

so far Aiden's characterization is a little all over the place - is he "the responsible one" or is he a "dancing through life" type. I feel like the author is trying to create a lot of differences between him and Summer but she's also trying to make him out to be this role model people look up to. And it's not quite lining up right now
