Why is an Ordinary Girl doing things that the enforcer should be doing this entire time in all these books. He doesn't seem all that big and tough if he's constantly getting outwitted out fought and outsmarted by ordinary. He is all talk and no bite

Wow, that wasn't predictable at all. Her having to go against Kai in the final challenge. What a strange concept that you're letting your betrothed go through all of these trials that could kill her and now you're putting her your betrothed against your brother who is supposed to be this ultimate killer yet she's always the one getting stuff done and he is just her shadow
