I opened up booktok for the first time today. Having been lulled into a sense of security with booktube, I was not ready to be absolutely traumatised.

The fact that anything about domestic violence, abuse, and literal SA is revered like it is trivial. It is so incredibly short-sighted and horrifying. The way that shock value is preferred over anything else? It's horrific what's normalised and easily accessible.
